We will assume the images of Frosty shakes, Biggie fries and Baconators are dancing in your head at the moment.

How to Quantify Good Defense for the Casual NBA Fan

Bleacher Report – NBA - 2 hours ago. Don’t you even watch the games?!  You can quote the individual stats all you want, but at some point, when you’re talking about defense, you’re going to hear someone condescend to you with that phrase if you don’t move on from the numbers.  Looking at team stats seems to be more logical when you evaluate […]...

What If Minnesota Timberwolves Can’t Trade Kevin Love Before the Season Starts?

Bleacher Report – NBA - 4 hours ago. While it seems like foregone conclusion that Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love will eventually be traded, there’s a distinct possibility that the move isn’t made in a timely manner. How Derrick Rose Can Silence His Critics Once and for All

Bleacher Report – NBA - 6 hours ago. Fifty.  That’s the number of games—playoffs and regular season—Derrick Rose has appeared in since his 2010-11 NBA MVP campaign. And that’s not a lot.  Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau has lost his voice more than 50 times since then. The San Antonio Spurs have broken more age-related rules during that time. Kevin Durant has […]...

Why Next Season Will Prove Erik Spoelstra Is a Top-5 NBA Coach

Bleacher Report – NBA - 6 hours ago. It’s often the nature of truly well-run organizations, be it in sports or elsewhere, that the loss of one transcendent talent merely means anointing the next in line. With LeBron James now officially committed to a Cleveland homecoming, the Miami Heat—a franchise with a trio of titles in less than 10 years—face just such a […]...

Why Doug McDermott Will Help Derrick Rose and Chicago Bulls Right Away

McDermott wasn’t offering impact minutes to everybody. Had the […]...

Who’s Responsible for the NBA’s Corner Three Revolution?

Bleacher Report – NBA - 6 hours ago. More than a decade ago, San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich discovered the most valuable 21 inches on an NBA basketball court, and nothing has been the same since. Those 21 little inches, the difference between every other three-point shot and one from the corner, changed everything about the Spurs’ offensive attack. And as […]...

Defending the New Orleans Pelicans’ Win-Now Approach

Bleacher Report – NBA - 7 hours ago. The New Orleans Pelicans are something, but the basketball world can’t quite put a finger on it. Courageous or careless. Sharp or shortsighted. Wise or wasteful. No one really knows for sure. Certainties are scarce in the Crescent City, where Anthony Davis’ fast track to superstardom has spawned more questions than answers. Clearly, the Pelicans […]...

Should Los Angeles Lakers Start Julius Randle or Carlos Boozer at Power Forward?

Bleacher Report – NBA - 7 hours ago. The Los Angeles Lakers are stuck between a rock and a hard place. On the one hand, they want to win, not only for the sake of Kobe Bryant (and his two-year, $48.5 million extension), but also because they’re the Lakers and that’s what they do. On the other hand, L.A. would be hard-pressed to […]...

Would Proposed NBA Lottery Changes Wreck Philadelphia 76ers’ Rebuilding Plan?

Bleacher Report – NBA - 8 hours ago. The NBA and commissioner Adam Silver are doing a smart thing. By proposing changes to the draft lottery system, the league is looking to curtail tanking and give teams more incentive to field competitive rosters and win games instead of doing the exact opposite, which is essentially what the current system promotes. The league has […]...
